MSI reveals the GT80 Titan

MSI-GT80-TitanWhen it comes to gaming notebooks, there aren’t too many players out there in the market, although those that happen to deal with this particular niche market tend to do a pretty good job while they are at it. MSI is one of them, and their latest release happens to deliver yet another first when it comes to having a mechanical keyboard on a gaming laptop. Unlike other gaming notebooks from MSI in the past such as the MSI GT Dominator, the GT80 Titan will boast of a SteelSeries gaming keyboard that comes complete with Cherry Brown MX switches within the 18-inch gaming beast.

Mechanical keyboards offer superior tactile feedback, better durability, all the while enhancing your overall gaming experience through the elimination of key jamming – even when you are involved in an extremely heated battle session. The standard Cherry switches used alongside a standard keycap with 27mm of thickness, offers nearly 5 times of traditional laptop keyboards. Apart from that, it is also the world’s slimmest and lightest 18-inch gaming laptop, now how about that?

The MSI GT80 Titan measures 17% thinner as well as 22% lighter compared to its closest competitor. In order to fully optimize the keyboard, the GT80 Titan will also boast of an enhanced SteelSeries Engine with CloudSync, so that gamers have the ability to save and synchronize settings through the SteelSeries cloud storage. In other words, you get the performance of a high-end gaming desktop while being able to enjoy the mobility of a notebook. Granted, lugging around 18” of notebook is not exactly everyone’s cup of tea.

Of course, it goes without saying that having a mechanical keyboard is not going to be optimal if you do not pair it up with a decent gaming mouse. After all, a touchpad, no matter how good, will still remain as a touchpad, hence it is best to shop around for a gaming mouse that you are comfortable with to go along with the MSI GT80 Titan.
