CURB gets a glow in the dark edition for Halloween

curbDo you like paradigm shifts? It does seem that seeing things from a different perspective would come in handy, especially when you are approaching a particular issue that needs to be fixed. A laptop stand might seem to sound as though it is some sort of bulky accessory to own, but with the CURB, you will see the minimalist principle in full swing, as it was designed in such a way that it makes ordinary laptop stands look absolutely bulky. Designed by m did introduce CURB slightly more than a month ago, seeing over 3,000 pre-orders placed, but since we are getting closer to Halloween by the day, designed by m has rolled out a limited edition version of the CURB that will glow in the dark.

The asking price for this limited edition CURB? We are looking at a relatively affordable $16.99 price tag. To elaborate further on what the CURB is all about, this will come across as a lightweight triangle-shaped bar which will prevent laptops from overheating simply by raising them off the surface. Through this design, CURB is said to reduce ambient heat while providing a more ergonomic working position. The triangle shape would also allow another two different degrees of elevation, depending on user preference. There is a ‘V’-shaped cutout in the middle of the bar that paves the way for a cable to go through, so that when the laptop is unplugged, you will not find the cable falling to the ground.

Interestingly enough, shipping will be free in the US as well as internationally. Now, that is definitely not something which we read about each day, but then again, it is such unorthodox thinking that has led to the design and rollout of the CURB, right? The CURB will arrive in nine colors, where among them include white, dark grey, light gray, pink, black, blue, lime, a limited-edition “believer” green and the limited edition glow-in-the-dark. It is made out of food-grade silicone.
