BlueAnt’s Q2 Bluetooth Headset

by Mark R

BlueAnt has made a very big boast, as they claim that the Q2 is “the best sounding Bluetooth headset ever built”.

I don’t know if it is safe to say that, but the Q2 does have some great things going for it. The Q2 has some really high quality speakers that were precision tuned and tested in a professional sound studio with other advanced equalization technology thrown in.

It also has state-of-the-art noise elimination and intelligent adaptive controls, for loud sound without the distortion in the background. In other words, your voice will be heard no matter what goes on in the background.

It also has some great voice recognition commands that I can really speak for. I used the “Favorites” selection, and I was able to get movie times by just saying the name of the film I wanted to watch. I even had the showtimes texted to me.

Other specs include the 5 hours of talk time and the 100 hours of standby time. You can find out more about the BlueAnt Q2 at its official site. There is even an official BlueAnt Android Application available that will read your text messages aloud.

I found the lowest price for the BlueAnt Q2 is $62.00 on Amazon. It would be a good deal at that price.

With the release of Android Ice Cream Sandwich, this headphone no longer (yeah, I know, it’s ICS’s issue) seperates the audio from voice features like your GPS, and audio from music. No longer can you have your music play through the car and your GPS directions play into your Q2. I had hoped this would update as well. 🙁
