Boost Mobile announces Sanyo Innuendo

Hmmm – the Sanyo Innuendo is by Kyocera? OK, perhaps that sounds rather foreign to me since it would be somewhat akin to saying the Nokia smartphone by Motorola – if you get my drift. But I digress – Boost Mobile has just announced that they will be offering their latest device to the masses (at least those who jive well with Boost Mobile) in the form of the Sanyo Innuendo by Kyocera.

The Sanyo Innuendo is no ordinary handset, as this QWERTY fold phone will come with an elegant, high-gloss black and silver finish which also boasts of an unique external glow-thru dial pad and sub-display on the outside. As for the internal display, your eyes will be treated to a vivid 2.8″ WQVGA screen. Innuendo will actually continue where the Sanyo Incognito left off, which incidentally is Boost’s best-selling CDMA Series device to date.

The Sanyo Innuendo will boast of an intuitive, customizable “application carousel” user interface that will make it easier to navigate the phone’s many features. It not only delivers advanced music, video and Web browsing experiences for customers who want to remain connected to the rest of their social network all the time, it will also do so without burning a hole in your pocket during these economically trying times. After all, Boost Mobile intends to place the Innuendo on their $50 Monthly Unlimited with Shrinkage plan, so that means the longer you stay, the less dough you will need to fork out – after the $129.99 entry price point for the phone, of course.

Other hardware specifications of the Sanyo Innuendo include :-

  • External touch-sensitive keypad
  • Internal full QWERTY keypad
  • 3.2MP camera with video
  • Music player
  • GPS & wireless Web enabled
  • Stereo Bluetooth Technology
  • Access email from Gmail, MSN, Yahoo!, AOL and more
  • Instant messaging capable (Yahoo!, AIM, Google Talk and Windows Live Messenger)
  • Supports microSD memory cards
  • Speakerphone

I think this phone is awsome. i have sprint and have a birthday coming up and i wanted the Sanyo Innuendo from sprint but i didn’t know how muched it cost. (does anyone know?) But i want this phone really badly and my mom has Boost so i could get it from there if it’s cheaper. Its color is much better than the blue one Sprint has. I love the carisel thing it’s cool. My phone does not have that which is a bummer. But over all frome what i have read and i like. This is a good phone.

I’ve had this phone since the beginning of september and I love everything about it, the plan from boost mobile is pretty cool, with the shrinkage that is after five on time payments, if boost mobile’s highend smartphones are as cool as the sanyo innuendo, I’m definitely a customer for life, holla!

ok so ive had the innuendo from boost for about 2 weeks now. Its not a bad phone but what got me to buy it was the music player advertised on the main packaging however i still dont see how to use it. I see a button that says music but once i click on it, the picture option appears so i thought maybe i gotta download music or maybe a radio app which i now find out this phone doesnt support. So it seems like the music on here really never worked. This sucks n is very frustratin. So if ur looking forward to the music feature on this, u may wanna try a different cell cuz i cant figure this out for my life.

This is a great phone. I have read all the reviews, some good, some bad. All the bad reviews seem to be from people that purchased this phone with the expectations of a $600 smart phone. This is not a smart phone, but it has amazing features, the sound quality is good, camera takes good pictures, and the Internet/web speed is great for the price of this phone. It is not a I-phone, smart phone, or android. So if that’s what you expect then go buy one instead of buying phones like this and expecting to be able to multi task, surf at 4G speeds, or anything else that you can do with a $600 then leave bad reviews for people to read. With that said, then if you are looking for a phone that is great for testing, reading emails, taking pictures, making calls, or to play on facebook, then this is a wonderful phone for the price I give it a 10. Thanks.

I have had this phone for a little over a year now. I’m with sprint, so mine is blue; I like the phone so much I have been thinking of getting a spare in case they are unavailable when mine dies.
I don’t need all the bells or whistles that come with a $400 phone. This makes/takes calls, sends/receives messages, and has music, calendar, calculator. That’s all I really need. Plus, it looks SOOOOOOO freaking cool when it lights up from stealth mode.

ive owned this phone for 5 months now it does every thing i need it too no complaints.great phone.i think it should have a touch screen on the inside so i can play better games on it.
The blue tooth stereo is amazing i didnt think it would be so clean and loud “i also own a pair of bluetooth head phones i think that helps lol”
but tell u what this phone has tooking some abuse from droping this thing 10 15 times a day! It works perfectly!Who ever designed this phone i give you props this thing is built to take some damage.Oh yah i droped the sanyo innuendo in the toilet in mid flush full of pee 🙁 i litterally washed it in hot water and hand soap!still works just fine.

will i have had this home for 5 months it is a good phone but there is some stuff that is bad to it like mine got a air bubble in it and now has a black spot on the screen…..i asked my dad if his has the same because we have the same phone and he said yes it dose so i would not really say it is a good phone because of that but hey if u don’t mind then good luck

It sucks. My screen has a bubble in it,and I have only dropped it like 6 times. Charge only lasts for a few hours, and after I send about 12 texts I have to take the battery out and turn it back on for it to send or receive texts again.

Stephanie Says: April 29, 2012 at 2:43 pm

I agree about the battery–it does not last long at all. I’m very disappointed in the battery life. I usually use bluetooth, but when I do, the battery doesn’t even last all day.

Stephanie Says: April 29, 2012 at 2:44 pm

Does anybody know if the phone is compatible with SDHC or just SD?

Shawn Says: June 19, 2012 at 12:09 pm

to use the music player you have to have a micro sd memory card inserted and then download music to the card. the phone dont have anyplace to store music so you HAVE to have the card. the quality is so great and I love it. I bought the first one that my store got and upgraded from the sanyo incognito to it. will not settle for anything else and boost here in los angeles has it for $69.00
