Trekbot micro robotic racer

Desk Pets International (HK) Limited might not be a name that most of you out there are familiar with, but they are actually the creator of interactive micro-robotic toys and gadgets that offer big-play value. Well, the company has just announced its latest addition to the market which is known as the Trekbot, a special hubless micro-robotic racer. This unique toy will be accompanied by a signature patent pending 5-function USB remote control that basically enables racers to perform sharp turns, headstands, and full flips without compromising on the speed at which it zips around. Features include a built-in USB charger for the Trekbot to get juiced up just about anytime, anywhere without having to rely on a specific type of power outlet.

This could very well be just the toy that your little one is looking forward to this coming holiday season, where the Trekbot is capable of delivering endless hours of inexpensive playtime, doing away with the need for expensive batteries. If you’re interested, Toys “R” Us and RadioShack stores nationwide are offering the Trekbot for $19.99 each, delivering a superior RC gaming experience with an easy-to-use and low-cost charging solution.

You will be able to choose from four different colors (black, gold, white, and clear) if you decide to pick up the Trekbot, and with a four frequency system working in there, it enables multiple users to race simultaneously. Boasting an angled wheel design, it is a snap for racers to perform flips and spins at the touch of a button. Juicing it up shouldn’t be too much of a hassle either, all you need to do is plug in the retractable USB remote into your PC, laptop or Mac and you’re good to go. One thing that we aren’t too happy with though is the diminishing returns when it comes to charging up the device. Thirty minutes of charge will deliver half the amount of playtime, no matter how intense it might be.
