Square Soda Can to reduce carbon footprint

by Mark R

I think we are all are trying to reduce our “carbon footprint”, even if we aren’t certain what that is.

Who cares? It has something to do with saving the planet, which is always a good thing, isn’t it?

I mean, that’s why you recycle your cans, right? Or at least you should be recycling your cans. Imagine if you were using square cans.

That’s right, someone has come up with a way of making a square can. This bottle has an opening at the bottom of the bottle that will allow multiple bottles to be stacked, which will reduce the amount of space needed to be stacked.

You may also notice that it collapses quite nicely, and it is 66 percent smaller. Of course, these guys look less like cans and more like bottles.

This actually reminds me of a little-seen film that Disney/Touchstone produced called Mission to Mars. It came out in 2000, and it didn’t exactly inspire us to get to the red planet by the end of the decade. However, that film took place in 2020, and it portrayed ordinary soda cans as rectangular solids.

Well, let’s hope we can have something to reduce our carbon footprint in the next few years like this. As for Mars, well, we are preparing with a special simulator.

carbon what? are you people still buying that whole earth warming theory? even scientists can’t prove man has been the cause of that- it’s all another way to make money. lets make green by going green BS

it was proven that other planets in our own solar system also had increase in environmental conditions as earth- what was the reason for those planets getting warmer? exactly my point! it’s all BS

there was even a scientist who erased all evidence that proved we did not cause global warming and all the data was deleted- strange huh? like the guy who invited a car that ran on water and mysteriously died… politics is the worst of evils. going green is no better today than when your grandparents used aresol cans to style their hair.

I thoroughly enjoy people who design shit that doesn’t work. Did the stupid designer, an artist, not an inventor or industrial designer, did this person consider why our bottles are round? Because of the carbonation, square bottles would explode.
On top of the basic flaw in this cutesy attempt at being eco friendly, global warming doesn’t exist, and if you want to argue, go talk to the 9000-ish scientist [around 3000 of which have PhD’s] who are currently trying to sue Al Gore for LYING TO THE WORLD.
