»» Coolest Gadgets has a new look !!

CG Version 3
It’s taken a lot of blood, sweat and tears (okay maybe not blood) but we finally have a new look and layout for Coolest Gadgets. This has been in procrastinated development for the best part of a year so I’m delighted it’s finally live.

If you are reading this via our feed please come on over and check it out, all opinions are very welcome.

The main changes we’ve made are:

  • We’ve removed some of the adverts that we thought were too in your face
  • At the bottom of all posts there is now an option to “Mail to a friend”
  • The layout of individual posts has been radically neatened
  • Navigation moved from the left to the right

If you have any suggestions on either the look or just in general please let us know.

Thanks for reading.

Nice new look, but I’m disappointed that you didn’t create some infinitely regressive image where the picture of the new look included the post of the new look including the picture of the new look, simulating that effect you get when you stand between two mirrors. Now that would have been a sweet new look.

Note: Sweet > Nice

Congratulations Al, I know how taxing redesigns can be and it looks very clean and crisp. Good luck with the game tonight.

Oh my gosh…you moved the content to the left side! That must have taken years!

I have to agree with Tim. Did you do anything else besides move the content to the left side? Great site, not that impressive of a change though.

Thanks Tim and John, the work involved was a lot more than the new look, well it at least seemed seemed that way at the time. Thanks for the feedback and must admit I agree bar the crazy horrible hacking needed to make bits work.
