Spaceship 2, bigger, faster, and now available for modding!

Virgin Spaceship 2

Scaled Composites and Virgin Galactic have released the new design for viewing of the follow on to SpaceShip 1, the cleverly named, Spaceship 2! Carried aloft by Whitenight 2 the new ship is massive in comparison (still not huge, but definitely more useful).

It really looks like a winning space platform. With the New Mexico Spaceport (clever job New Mexico, you’re far better than that old Mexico) They’ll have prime launching facilities for this new system.

The new design is also built to be adaptable to accommodate parallel designs, so that if companies want custom White Night and Spaceship designs for industrial or commercial reasons, they can easily adapt the system to accommodate those changes.

The Carbon airframe is super strong and will withstand vastly more punishment than most airframes to date. Additionally the design is built to accommodate heightened safety standards, as they are not willing to compromise safety for civilian riders (it would be bad for business).

I wish the Virgin Galactic crew put out a bit more data, but for now this link will have to suffice with more pictures.

See you in the stars!

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I have always wondered why the items listed under the “related posts” and “related items” for the most part, have absolutely “no relationship” of any kind (other than possibly random ones which is hardly related) with the story item.

Related posts:

(see what I am writing about ?)

I don’t mind ads. But it is a little bit of a stretch at minimum and patronizing at times to be told these are somehow related when it is obvious they are not. I expect things like that from say, oh…,… government, mensa members and/or chimps, but you guys? Please.

Hi Bill, I’m not see the same related posts as you for some but must admit the ones that I’m seeing aren’t all that “related” either. It’s an automated feature were the system searches for similar words in different posts to see if they are related at all, Google it most certainly isn’t. Pehaps we should rename it to “Related Posts Fingers Crossed” or something 🙂
