SkyCaddie, a GPS for golfers

Sky Caddie

Most of my time spent on the links consists of looking for my ball, drinking beers, and yelling “fore” at the other golfers destined to get plunked by one of my awful drives gone wrong. Honestly, I don’t think any whiz-bang gadget could ever help me with my wicked slice. But if you are a decent golfer who needs that little edge over opponents a GPS range finder type gadget might be what you are looking for.

There are a few GPS based golf products on the market, but SkyGolf’s SKYCADDIE SG4 is by far the cool cream of the crop. The SG4 helps the golfer measure the full depth and shape of the green from any angle of approach. My favorite feature of the SG4 is its large and easy to read LCD screen display. Much bigger and brighter than anything else I have seen on the market. Additionally, the SG4 is powered by a lithium rechargeable battery that gives you about 12 hours of play. The extra hours are important for 30+ handicapped golfers like me that take forever on the course.

There are also lots of handy-dandy accessories that can be purchased for your new SKYCADDIE. Golf Cart mounts and belt clips make it convenient for you to trek the SG4 around the course.

Some downsides to the product are the price, nearly $350.00, and the fact that the course you may be playing is not listed on the SkyCourse service. But if you think about all the money out there on the US and European golf tours, I think it might be a small price to pay for the millions of possibilities. The SKYCADDIE can be found at Sky Golf GPS.
