Can-Am Spyder: One of the Coolest Motorcycles Money Can Buy

by Nick

Can-Am Spyder

Is the Can-Am Spyder Roadster a motorcycle or a car? Either way you want to look at it, this is one sexy beast. This three wheeled vehicle is a hybrid between a motorcycle and a sports car, with two wheels on the front and one in the back. With a stunning design and even better performance, the Spyder has a Vehicle Stability System (VSS) with anti-lock brakes, traction control and stability control systems, and is described by BRP as the next dimension in open road riding and a paradigm shift.

The Can-Am Spyder is powered by a Rotax 990cc V-Twin liquid-cooled engine with five-speed manual transmission. The Y-shaped chassis gives the Spyder the stability of a car, thanks to dynamic power steering and a center steel beam. BRP plans to start selling the Can-Am Spyder in selected states in America and Canada by the fall of 2007, and in rest of the U.S., France and Spain by 2008. Other countries should expect to see this beast in three to four years. The Spyder will come with two colours options, silver and yellow, and should cost US$ $14,999

As a Harley owner and rider I can tell you that the new Spyder is a welcomed additition to the motorcycle world. With 45 years of riding on 2 wheels being able to sit back and truely relax on this Rotax powered dream ride is the most enjoyable ride ever. Wheather true class, or sporty adventure colors are your choice. Pure preformance and style make the Spyder beg you to drive is. Honestly, don’t label it as a flash in the pan. Drive it! In Albany NY you can test drive it at Seymour’s on Louden Road in Cohoes. Priced at $15,000. it’s well worth the money, and you’ll enjoy years of rifing and talking about it. Pure class man, PURE CLASS…
