Rock Band Strat

With numerous complaints from angry rock wannabes that their Rock Band guitars are on the fritz with hardware issues, Electronic Arts/Harmonix has quickly acknowledged problems in the strum bars of the Rock Band Stratocaster and are working to replace them at no charge.

“Many of you have contacted us regarding your guitar controllers,” said a statement by Harmonix on the official Rock Band community board. “As sometimes happens when new products first go into manufacturing, we discovered an imperfection with the strum bar in an early production run of guitars that were shipped at launch. We want to inform you that we have since identified and fixed the issue in all subsequent production runs of the guitars. Harmonix is dedicated to creating 100% customer satisfaction and to those of you who’ve encountered any hardware issues, we are sorry for the hassle.”

Those who experience problems with their RB Strat are encouraged to contact EA via their website free replacement axe.

In addition, EA stated rather vaguely that it’s compatibility issues with the Guitar Hero III’s Les Paul guitar and the lack of support Rock Band on PS3.

Meantime, at least you know your air guitar still works.
